Stat. tit. 11, § 11-16-203","heading":"Aldermanic cities with two councilmembers per ward -","body":"Officers to be elected - Terms.\n\nIn a statutory aldermanic city with two councilmembers per ward,\n\nthe terms of the elected officers shall be staggered so that at any\n\none general municipal election, the following officers are to be\n\nelected for four-year terms:\n\n1. One (1) councilmember from each ward of the city;\n\n2. The mayor;\n\n3. The clerk;\n\n4. The marshal; and\n\n5. The street commissioner.\n\nAt the next general municipal election, the following officers are\n\nto be elected for four-year terms:\n\n1. One councilmember from each ward of the city; and\n\n2. The treasurer.\n\nIf the office of treasurer has been consolidated with any other\n\noffice, elections for the office of treasurer and the office with\n\nwhich it has been consolidated shall be held at the time the\n\nelection to fill the other office is held.
