At the first general municipal election held in the odd-\n\nnumbered year following adoption of the aldermanic form of\n\ngovernment with two councilmembers per ward, the officers to be\n\nelected and their terms are as follows:\n\n1. Four-year terms: One councilmember from each ward of the\n\ncity; the mayor; the clerk; the marshal; and the street\n\ncommissioner.\n\n2. Two-year terms: One councilmember from each ward of the\n\ncity; and the treasurer.\n\nAt general municipal elections held thereafter, the successors of\n\nthe officers whose terms are expiring shall be elected for four-year\n\nterms.\n\nB.
