Stat. tit. 11, § 11-16-205","heading":"Towns - Officers to be elected - Terms","body":"In a statutory town, the terms of the elected officers shall be\n\nstaggered so that at any one general municipal election, the\n\nfollowing officers are to be elected for four-year terms:\n\n1. Trustees from odd-numbered wards; and\n\n2. The clerk.\n\nAt the next general municipal election, the following officers are\n\nto be elected for four-year terms:\n\n1. Trustees from even-numbered wards; and\n\n2. The treasurer.\n\nIf the office of treasurer has been consolidated with any other\n\noffice, elections for the office of treasurer and the office with\n\nwhich it has been consolidated shall be held at the time the\n\nelection to fill the other office is held.
