Stat. tit. 11, § 11-16-303","heading":"Time for town meeting - Purpose - Special town","body":"meetings.\n\nIn municipalities subject to the provisions of Section 16-301 et\n\nseq. of this title, a biennial town meeting of the voters shall be\n\nheld on the first Tuesday in April in each odd-numbered year for the\n\npurpose of electing municipal officers and considering questions\n\nraised by initiative or referendum pursuant to Section 15-101 et\n\nseq. of this title.\n\nIn addition to the election proceedings of said meeting the\n\nmayor or presiding officer may upon compliance with the Open Meeting\n\nAct, Section 301 et seq. of Title 25 of the Oklahoma Statutes and\n\nother provisions appropriate to the law, conduct regular business\n\nmeetings or any other town business which would be in order and of\n\ninterest to those citizens in attendance.
