Stat. tit. 11, § 11-21-106","heading":"Failure to grant request in annexation petition -","body":"Filing in district court.\n\nIf the governing body fails to grant the request contained in a\n\npetition for annexation within thirty (30) days after the last\n\npublication of the notice, or refuses to grant the request, the\n\npetitioners may file their petition with the clerk of the district\n\ncourt in the county in which the situs of the municipal government\n\nis located. Notice of the filing shall be served upon a deputy\n\nmunicipal clerk and upon the mayor together with a notice of the\n\ntime and place that the district court will hear the petition. The\n\nnotice must be given at least ten (10) days before the date of the\n\nhearing.
