Stat. tit. 11, § 11-21-203","heading":"Approval of annexation - Recording of resolution and","body":"plat.\n\nIf a majority of the votes cast in the election are in favor of\n\nannexation of the territory and relocation of the municipality, the\n\ngoverning body shall so declare by resolution, and a copy of the\n\nresolution and the plat shall be filed for record in the office of\n\nthe county clerk and the office of the Secretary of State. If part\n\nor all of the territory comprised within the new site is located in\n\na county other than that in which the municipality is located, the\n\nresolution and plat shall be recorded in each county.
