Stat. tit. 11, § 11-22-112.5","heading":"Termination of water service when sewer or waste","body":"water service is provided by a separate public entity\n\nA. Where water service is provided to real property by one\n\npublic entity but that property receives sewer or waste water\n\nservice from another public entity, and where the sewer or waste\n\nwater account for the property has been found to be delinquent as\n\ndetermined by the policies adopted by the public entity regarding\n\nnonpayment, the governing body of the public entity providing sewer\n\nor waste water service to that property may request that the public\n\nentity providing water service terminate water service. Until the\n\ndelinquency has been resolved, the governing body of the public\n\nentity providing sewer or waste water service requesting the\n\ntermination of water service shall provide a proposed date for\n\ntermination and notice to the public entity providing water service,\n\nand to the account holder and property owner of the subject property\n\nat least thirty (30) days prior to the proposed date for\n\ntermination. The public entity providing water service may\n\nterminate water service at the subject property on the proposed date\n\nfor termination or within thirty (30) days thereafter. Should the\n\nsewer or waste water delinquency be resolved during the pendency of\n\nthe termination of water service, or sometime thereafter, the public\n\nentity which requested termination of water service shall provide\n\nthe public entity providing water service notice of the resolution\n\nof delinquency no later than the first business day following\n\nresolution. The public entity providing water service shall renew\n\nwater service no later than the first business day following the\n\nnotice. Should the sewer or waste water delinquency be resolved\n\nduring the pendency of the termination of water service, or sometime\n\nthereafter, the public entity which requested termination of water\n\nservice shall provide the account holder and the property owner\n\nnotice of the resolution of the delinquency, upon request.\n\nB. Each public entity desiring to utilize the termination\n\nprovision authorized in subsection A of this section shall enact, in\n\naccordance to law and as required by this act, notice and hearing\n\nprocedures to ensure account holders and property owners receive\n\nadequate notice and opportunity for hearing prior to commencement of\n\nthe procedures authorized in subsection A of this section.","path":["OK Code","Title 11"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os11.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"eab7a2d658958d9fbf794543d8a260a07e3cec2e6f95c287eedf9dec2977efdb","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-11-11-22-112.4","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-11-11-22-113"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
