Except as provided for in subsection B of this section, the\n\nmunicipality shall have jurisdiction over any real property within\n\nor without its corporate limits belonging to the municipality.\n\nB. A municipality with a population of more than three hundred\n\nfifty thousand (350,000) persons, according to the most recent\n\nFederal Decennial Census, shall have jurisdiction over any real\n\nproperty within its corporate limits belonging to the municipality.\n\nThe municipality shall have the authority to enact ordinances\n\nregulating real property belonging to the municipality that is\n\noutside the corporate limits of the municipality. Municipal\n\nproperty outside the corporate limits of the municipality shall be\n\nsubject to state or municipal law and any violation of state or\n\nmunicipal law shall be prosecuted in the district court of the\n\ncounty or the municipal court of the local city where the violation\n\noccurred.
