Stat. tit. 11, § 11-22-117.1","heading":"Possession of security verification form may be","body":"required for certain vehicles.\n\nPursuant to Section 22-117 of this title, a municipality may by\n\nordinance require the operator of any motor vehicle registered in\n\nthis state to carry a current security verification form as defined\n\nin Article VI, Chapter 7 of Title 47 of the Oklahoma Statutes or\n\nequivalent form which has been issued by the Department.\n\nAny person producing proof that a current security verification\n\nform or equivalent form which has been issued by the Department was\n\nin force for such person at the time of the alleged offense shall be\n\nentitled to dismissal of such charge upon payment of court costs;\n\nhowever, if proof of security verification is presented to the court\n\nwithin forty-eight (48) hours after the violation, the charge shall\n\nbe dismissed without payment of court costs.\n\nUpon conviction, bond forfeiture or deferral of sentence, the\n\ncourt shall forward an abstract to the Department of Public Safety\n\nwithin ten (10) days reflecting the action taken by the court.","path":["OK Code","Title 11"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os11.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"cb6b529ee582269a724083b0e3e5991126547727d3ca0911dcdf6a2082c25cb9","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-11-11-22-117","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-11-11-22-118"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
