As used in this section, “lot” means a tract of land as\n\ndefined in Section 1 of this act.\n\nB. Lots in a municipal cemetery shall be conveyed by\n\ncertificate signed by the mayor and countersigned by the clerk,\n\nunder the seal of the municipality. The certificate shall show the\n\nprice for which the lots are sold and specify that the person to\n\nwhom it is issued is the owner of the lot or lots described therein\n\nby number, as laid down in the plat, for the purpose of interment.\n\nThe certificate shall vest in the purchaser and heirs of the\n\npurchaser a right to the lot or lots, for the sole purpose of\n\ninterment, under the regulations of the governing body or board of\n\ncemetery trustees. The certificate shall be entitled to record in\n\nthe office of the county clerk of the county in which the lot is\n\nsituated without further acknowledgment, and the description of lots\n\nby number shall be sufficient for the purpose of record.
