As used in this section, “lot” means a tract of land as\n\ndefined in Section 1 of this act.\n\nB. Any burial lot in any cemetery owned by a municipality, or\n\nby an association incorporated for cemetery purposes under the laws\n\nof Oklahoma, may be conveyed or devised by the owner back to and\n\nheld by such company, municipality, or association in perpetual\n\ntrust for the purpose of its preservation as a place of burial. The\n\nlot so conveyed shall thereafter remain forever inalienable by act\n\nof the parties, but the right to use the same as a place of burial\n\nof the dead of the family of the owner and his descendants from\n\ngeneration to generation shall remain, unless the deed of conveyance\n\nin trust shall provide that interments in such lot shall be confined\n\nto the bodies of specified persons, in which case the lot shall be\n\nforever preserved as the burial place of the persons specified in\n\nthe deed and shall never be used for any other purpose whatever.\n\nHowever, no conveyance in trust shall be made without the consent of\n\nthe cemetery company or association in whose cemetery the burial lot\n\nis located, or of the governing body or board of cemetery trustees\n\nof the municipality.","path":["OK Code","Title 11"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os11.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"93c71e730caf1cfbe495eb67a566e4dcc9e52972e3048892a98d1ed07ede14f4","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-11-11-26-103","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-11-11-26-105"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
