Stat. tit. 11, § 11-26-112","heading":"Removal of remains to other gravesites - Unmarked","body":"graves.\n\nWhen the bodily remains of an unknown person are discovered in\n\nan unidentified and unmarked grave of a municipally owned and\n\noperated cemetery, the remains may be removed to some other\n\ngravesite within the cemetery, at the expense of the municipality,\n\nif no record exists as to a sale or conveyance of the lot and the\n\nmunicipality is without knowledge that a body had been buried in the\n\ngravesite, in the event the lot is sold to another person.
