Stat. tit. 11, § 11-27-110","heading":"Court marshal - Duties","body":"The municipal governing body, upon the recommendation of the\n\njudge of the municipal court, may designate any appropriate person\n\nwho is a resident of the municipality to serve as marshal, and in\n\nthe absence of such a designation, the chief of police or\n\ncorresponding officer of the municipality shall be ex officio\n\nmarshal of the court.
