Stat. tit. 11, § 11-27-113","heading":"Procedure - Judicial notice of statutes and ordinances","body":"- Writs and process - Service of arrest warrant.\n\nExcept as otherwise provided for by law, the code of procedure\n\nin the municipal court shall be the same as is provided for by law\n\nfor the trial of misdemeanors. The court shall take judicial notice\n\nof state statutes and the ordinances of the municipality in which it\n\nis located. Writs and processes of the court may be issued by the\n\njudge or clerk thereof to any proper officer. All writs and\n\nprocesses of the municipal court in which a violation of a municipal\n\nordinance is charged shall be directed to the chief of police of the\n\nmunicipality, a county sheriff, or to some other appropriate peace\n\nofficer. A law enforcement officer of the municipality or county\n\nsheriff may serve an arrest warrant issued by the municipal court\n\nany place within this state.
