If, without sufficient excuse, a defendant fails to appear\n\naccording to the terms or conditions of a bond, given by a bail\n\nbondsman as defined in Section 1301 of Title 59 of the Oklahoma\n\nStatutes, either for hearing, arraignment, trial, or judgment, or\n\nupon any other occasion when the presence of the defendant in court\n\nor before the judge may be lawfully required:\n\n1. The court shall perform the procedures set forth in Section\n\n1332 of Title 59 of the Oklahoma Statutes whereby the municipal\n\ncourt clerk shall issue the required notices; or\n\n2. a. The municipal judge shall issue an order declaring the\n\nbond to be forfeited on the day the defendant failed\n\nto appear and stating the reasons therefor, and\n\nb. Within five (5) days of the order of forfeiture, the\n\nmunicipal court clerk shall file a certified copy of\n\nthe order with the district court in the county where\n\nthe municipal government is located. The district\n\ncourt clerk shall treat the certified order of\n\nforfeiture as a foreign judgment and proceed in\n\naccordance with the provisions of Section 1332 of\n\nTitle 59 of the Oklahoma Statutes. A surety shall\n\nhave all remedies available under the provisions of\n\nSection 1108 of Title 22 and Sections 1301 through\n\n1340 of Title 59 of the Oklahoma Statutes.\n\nB.
