Stat. tit. 11, § 11-27-122","heading":"Enforcement of payment of fines or costs by","body":"imprisonment - Persons unable to pay.\n\nA. If a defendant who is financially able refuses or neglects\n\nto pay a fine or costs or both, payment may be enforced:\n\n1. By imprisonment until the same shall be satisfied at the\n\nrate of Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) per day; or\n\n2. In the same manner as is prescribed in subsection B of this\n\nsection for a defendant who is without means to make such payment.\n\nB. If the defendant is without means to pay the fine or costs,\n\nthe municipal judge may direct the total amount due to be entered\n\nupon the court minutes and to be certified to the district court in\n\nthe county where the situs of the municipal government is located,\n\nwhere it shall be entered upon the district court judgment docket\n\nand shall have the full force and effect of a district court\n\njudgment.
