Stat. tit. 11, § 11-28-121","heading":"Process - Searches, seizures and confiscation - Service","body":"of arrest warrant.\n\nThe municipal criminal court of record, by and through its clerk\n\nor judge, shall have power to issue subpoenas, writs of attachment,\n\nand summonses, to administer oaths, to verify complaints and other\n\nprocesses and writs issuable by the district judge in criminal\n\nproceedings, and to direct the same to the chief of police or other\n\nlaw enforcement officers. The municipal criminal court of record\n\nshall have power to compel obedience to its writs and orders in the\n\nsame manner and to the same extent as the district court. The\n\nmunicipal criminal court of record shall also have power to issue\n\narrest warrants and search and seizure warrants and to hear and\n\ndetermine proceedings for the confiscation of property used in\n\nviolation of the ordinances of the municipality.
