Stat. tit. 11, § 11-3-105","heading":"Canvassing returns - Statement of result - Order of","body":"incorporation.\n\nThe county election board shall canvass the returns of the\n\nelection. Within five (5) days after the canvass of the returns of\n\nthe election, the secretary of the county election board shall\n\ncertify the results of the election to the board of county\n\ncommissioners. If a majority of the votes cast are in favor of\n\nincorporation as a town, the board of commissioners shall, within\n\ntwenty (20) days after receiving the result of the vote, issue an\n\norder declaring that the town has been incorporated and naming the\n\ndate for the election of town officers.
