Stat. tit. 11, § 11-30-102","heading":"Hospital board of control","body":"The municipal governing body may, in its discretion and by\n\nordinance, place the exclusive management and control of the\n\nmunicipal hospital under a board of control of five (5) members,\n\nchosen by the governing body from the citizens of any school\n\ndistrict which is part of the municipality with reference to their\n\nfitness for such office. The members of the board of control shall\n\nhold office for a term of five (5) years from the first day of May\n\nfollowing their appointment, and their terms shall be staggered. At\n\nthe first regular meeting of the board, the members shall cast lots\n\nfor respective terms of one year, two years, three years, four\n\nyears, and five years; thereafter the terms of all members shall be\n\nfive (5) years.
