Stat. tit. 11, § 11-33-114","heading":"Department of Tourism and Recreation - Aid and","body":"assistance - Existing authority not impaired.\n\nThe Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department may provide, upon\n\nrequest, to the governmental units of Oklahoma or to any\n\nnongovernmental agency or organization, aid and assistance in\n\nplanning for the development of wholesome and adequate community\n\nrecreation programs. The Department may provide a supervisor of\n\nrecreation, who is technically trained, with adequate administrative\n\nexperience in the field of community recreation, to encourage,\n\nconsult with, aid and assist such governmental units and agencies in\n\nestablishing recreation programs. The supervisor of recreation may\n\nencourage and render assistance in the promotion of training\n\nprograms for volunteer and professional recreation leaders in\n\ncooperation with other agencies, organizations and institutions, and\n\nmay encourage the establishment of standards for recreation\n\npersonnel. The Department may act jointly with other state\n\nagencies, institutions, departments, boards or commissions, to\n\ncoordinate the park and recreational functions at the state level of\n\ngovernment.
