Stat. tit. 11, § 11-34-101.1","heading":"Certification of police officers – Psychological","body":"evaluation.\n\nFor purposes of the certification of municipal police officers\n\npursuant to state law, the employing municipality shall use a\n\npsychological instrument approved by the Council on Law Enforcement\n\nEducation and Training. The employing municipality shall administer\n\nsuch psychological instrument in accordance with standards\n\nestablished within the test document. To aid the evaluating\n\npsychologist in interpreting the test results, including automated\n\nscoring and interpretations, the municipal employer shall provide\n\nthe psychologist a statement confirming the identity of the\n\nindividual taking the test as the person who is employed or seeking\n\nto be employed as a police officer of the municipality and attesting\n\nthat it administered the psychological instrument in accordance with\n\nstandards within the test document. The psychologist shall report\n\nto the employing municipality the evaluation of the assessment\n\ninstrument and may include any additional recommendations to assist\n\nthe employing municipality in determining whether to certify to the\n\nCouncil on Law Enforcement Education and Training that the person\n\nbeing evaluated is suitable to serve as a police officer.
