Stat. tit. 11, § 11-36-219","heading":"Due date of first installment - Payment of assessment -","body":"Interest on delinquent installments.\n\nA. The first installment of the assessment, together with\n\ninterest upon the whole assessment from the date of the passage of\n\nthe assessing ordinance to the first day of the next September,\n\nshall be due and payable in cash on or before the first day of\n\nSeptember next succeeding the passage of the assessing ordinance. If\n\nthe assessing ordinance is not passed prior to the first day of July\n\nin any year, the first installment of the assessment shall be due\n\nand payable in cash with interest from the date of the passage of\n\nthe assessing ordinance to the first day of September of the\n\nfollowing year.\n\nB. The assessments shall be payable as the several installments\n\nbecome due, together with the interest thereon, to the municipal\n\nclerk, who shall give proper receipts for the payments, and credit\n\nthe payments upon the Street Assessment Record. In case any\n\ninstallment or interest is not paid when due, the installment so\n\nmatured and unpaid and the unpaid interest thereon shall draw\n\ninterest at the rate of twelve percent (12%) per annum from maturity\n\nuntil paid, except as otherwise provided.\n\nC.
