Stat. tit. 11, § 11-36-221","heading":"Collection of payments - Bond of clerk - Special fund","body":"The municipal clerk shall be required to execute a good and\n\nsufficient bond, with sureties, and in an amount to be approved by\n\nthe governing body, payable to the municipality, conditioned for the\n\nfaithful performance of the duties conferred upon the clerk as\n\ncollector of the assessments.\n\nThe municipal clerk shall keep an accurate account of all\n\nassessment collections made by him, and shall pay to the municipal\n\ntreasurer daily the amounts of the assessments collected by him. The\n\namounts so collected and paid to the municipal treasurer shall\n\nconstitute a separate, special fund to be used and applied to the\n\npayment of the bonds and interest coupons which are issued against\n\nthe assessments.
