Stat. tit. 11, § 11-36-310","heading":"Limitation of bondholder actions on street improvement","body":"bonds.\n\nThe right of any holder to enforce the lien of any street\n\nimprovement bond or street improvement refunding bond by\n\nforeclosure, mandamus, refunding, or otherwise, shall be barred upon\n\nthe expiration of three (3) years after the maturity date named on\n\nthe face of such bond, unless the bondholder, prior to the\n\nexpiration of the three-year period, shall have:\n\n1. Commenced suit to foreclose his lien by filing an action for\n\nthat purpose and procuring service of summons therein; or\n\n2. Evidenced his willingness to accept street improvement\n\nrefunding bonds, issued under the provisions of Sections 36-309\n\nthrough 36-312 of this title, in exchange for the bond.\n\nThe running of the three-year period of limitation shall be an\n\nabsolute bar to any action or proceeding brought thereafter, whether\n\nthe same is plead as a defense or not, and the property against\n\nwhich the bonds represented a lien shall thereafter be, by operation\n\nof law, absolved of any lien or liability on account of the bonds.","path":["OK Code","Title 11"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os11.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"52bbda7e751c3fabbfa9922fa5773584ee2d5bc2dbf6845ea90724b3ac450578","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-11-11-36-309","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-11-11-36-311"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
