Stat. tit. 11, § 11-36-404","heading":"Hearing - Correction and confirmation of apportionment","body":"- Right of action.\n\nAt the hearing on the assessment and apportionment, the\n\ngoverning body shall give full opportunity to hear any and all\n\nprotests that may be urged against the levy of assessments for the\n\ncost of the improvement and shall have the right to hear witnesses\n\nuntil a full and complete hearing shall be had thereon. The\n\nprotests shall be in writing, specifically setting forth the nature\n\nof the objection raised. After the conclusion of the hearing, the\n\ngoverning body shall adjudicate the objections and may make such\n\norder on the levy of assessments as may be just and proper. Any\n\nobjection shall be deemed waived unless presented at the time and in\n\nthe manner prescribed herein. Any owner of land liable to\n\nassessment shall have the right to institute an action to contest\n\nthe validity of the amount of the assessment at any time within ten\n\n(10) days after the final adjudication thereof by the governing\n\nbody, but no suit may be maintained to contest the validity or the\n\namount of the assessment, or any other matter pertaining to the\n\nproposed improvement after the expiration of the ten-day period.","path":["OK Code","Title 11"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os11.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"5251cd7b353a3de2d4e53ffae0b2fba91409ceb50c64a98422799cdceefe03a5","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-11-11-36-403","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-11-11-36-405"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
