Stat. tit. 11, § 11-36-411","heading":"Description of property - Delivery of copy of ordinance","body":"- Making improvements.\n\nThe ordinance of necessity shall particularly describe the tract\n\nof land necessary to be taken for public use and a copy of the\n\nordinance, duly certified by the municipal clerk, shall be delivered\n\nto:\n\n1. The Governor, if the property to be taken is state property;\n\n2. The county clerk, if the property to be taken is county\n\nproperty; and\n\n3. To the clerk of the school district or board of education,\n\nif the property to be taken is school property.\n\nUpon passage and proper delivery of the ordinance of necessity, the\n\nmunicipality shall have the power to immediately enter upon the land\n\nand improve it by opening, widening, extending or laying out, over,\n\nupon and across the land a street or avenue, and the land so taken\n\nshall become a part of the street system of the municipality.
