Stat. tit. 11, § 11-37-102","heading":"General powers as to waterworks and water supply","body":"The municipal governing body may purchase, erect, lease, rent,\n\nmanage, and maintain any system or part of a system of waterworks\n\nand water supply. It may establish and alter the channels of\n\nwatercourses and may establish and regulate wells, cisterns,\n\naqueducts, and reservoirs of water.
