Stat. tit. 11, § 11-37-106","heading":"Issuing bonds - Election","body":"To defray the cost of procuring waterworks, and the election\n\nprovided in this section, the municipal governing body may provide\n\nfor the issuance of bonds of the municipality. Before any bonds may\n\nbe issued, the municipal governing body shall submit the question of\n\nissuing the bonds to the registered voters of the municipality at\n\nany general election or special election called by them for that\n\npurpose.
