Stat. tit. 11, § 11-37-122","heading":"Contract with United States - Provisions authorized -","body":"Validation of existing contracts.\n\nAny municipal governing body, or any agency, instrumentality or\n\npublic trust of which a municipality is beneficiary thereof, or\n\nappropriate board or commission subject to the approval of the\n\nmunicipal governing body, may enter into and do every act necessary\n\nto carry out a contract with the United States of America or agency\n\nthereof for furnishing a municipal water supply to the municipality,\n\nall upon such terms as to use of water, payment therefor, and other\n\nconditions as may be agreed upon between the United States or agency\n\nthereof and the municipal governing body or any agency,\n\ninstrumentality or public trust of which a municipality is\n\nbeneficiary thereof. Incident to procuring a municipal water supply\n\nin the manner provided herein, any contract authorized by this\n\nsection may provide for, but is not limited to, either or both of\n\nthe following:\n\n1. The replacement or exchange of water or water rights; or\n\n2. The transfer or conveyance by the municipality to the United\n\nStates of water, water rights, dams, easements or real or personal\n\nproperty of any kind whatsoever needed by the United States in\n\nconnection with the construction or operation and maintenance of any\n\nsuch irrigation project.\n\nAny contract authorized by this section, heretofore entered into by\n\nany municipality, is hereby ratified, validated and confirmed.","path":["OK Code","Title 11"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os11.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"470bb29d04de1c063e0ac345035d062758784da3796cd749057034b282a32bda","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-11-11-37-121","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-11-11-37-123"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
