Stat. tit. 11, § 11-37-213","heading":"Protests - Hearing - Findings as conclusive and","body":"binding.\n\nProtests shall be heard and considered at the next regular\n\nmeeting of the governing body following the expiration of the\n\nfifteen-day period after the last publication of the resolution of\n\nnecessity. The hearing may be continued from time to time. The\n\nfinding of the governing body as to the sufficiency or insufficiency\n\nof the protest or petition shall be conclusive and binding for all\n\npurposes and against all persons. The governing body shall have the\n\npower to hear any protest or petition and compel the attendance of\n\nwitnesses under oath to determine the sufficiency thereof. If\n\nsufficient protests are filed as to any one or more noncontiguous\n\nareas, the same shall be eliminated from the proceedings, but the\n\nother areas shall not be affected thereby.
