Stat. tit. 11, § 11-37-226","heading":"Collection of payments - Bond of clerk - Special fund","body":"The municipal clerk shall be required to execute a good and\n\nsufficient bond, with sureties, and in an amount to be approved by\n\nthe governing body, payable to the municipality, conditioned for the\n\nfaithful performance of the duties conferred upon him as collector\n\nof the assessments. The municipal clerk shall keep an accurate\n\naccount of all assessment collections made by him, and shall pay to\n\nthe municipal treasurer daily the amounts of the assessments\n\ncollected by him. The amounts so collected and paid to the\n\nmunicipal treasurer shall constitute a separate, special fund to be\n\nused and applied to the payment of bonds and the interest coupons\n\nwhich are issued against the assessments.
