Stat. tit. 11, § 11-4-105","heading":"Canvassing returns - Certification of results - Order of","body":"incorporation.\n\nThe county election board shall canvass the returns of the\n\nelection. Within five (5) days after the canvass of the returns of\n\nthe election, the secretary of the county election board shall\n\ncertify to the board of county commissioners the results of the\n\nelection. If a majority of the votes cast are in favor of\n\nincororation as a city under the designated statutory form, the\n\nboard of commissioners shall, within twenty (20) days after\n\nreceiving the results of the vote, issue an order declaring that the\n\ncity has been incorporated under the designated statutory form of\n\ncity government and naming the date for the election of city\n\nofficers.
