Stat. tit. 11, § 11-41-108","heading":"Plat record specifications","body":"Any plat submitted for recording shall have the following\n\nspecifications:\n\n1. The dimensions of the plat shall be twenty-four (24) by\n\nthirty-six (36) inches or shall be a size that can be properly and\n\nconveniently folded to these dimensions and shall be drawn to a\n\nminimum scale of one hundred (100) feet to the inch; except that\n\nplats in which all lots contain a net area in excess of forty\n\nthousand (40,000) square feet, the plat may be drawn to a scale of\n\ntwo hundred (200) feet to the inch;\n\n2. The drawing surface of the plat shall have a binding margin\n\nof two (2) inches at the left side of the plat, a margin of not less\n\nthan one (1) inch at the right side, and a margin of not less than\n\none and one-half (1 1/2) inches at the top and bottom;\n\n3. The original tracing of each plat and two prints thereof and\n\na reduced copy in the dimensions of eight and one-half (8 1/2)\n\ninches by eleven (11) inches shall be presented for recording;\n\n4. The original plat shall be an original drawing made with\n\nindia ink on a good grade linen tracing cloth, or with a suitable\n\nblack acetate base ink on a stable polyester base film coated upon\n\ncompletion with a suitable plastic material to prevent flaking and\n\nto assure permanent legibility, or a print on a stable polyester\n\nbase film made by photographic processes from a film scribing tested\n\nfor residual hypo with an approved hypo testing solution to assure\n\npermanency;\n\n5. Marginal lines, standard certificates and approval forms may\n\nbe printed or legibly stamped on the plat with permanent opaque\n\nblack ink when permitted by local ordinance; and\n\n6.
