Parties in interest and citizens shall have an opportunity\n\nto be heard at a public hearing before any district regulation,\n\nrestriction, or boundary shall become effective. At least fifteen\n\n(15) days' notice of the date, time, and place of the hearing shall\n\nbe published in a newspaper of general circulation in the\n\nmunicipality. The notice shall include a map of the area to be\n\naffected which indicates street names or numbers, streams, or other\n\nsignificant landmarks in the area.\n\nB. In addition to the notice required in subsection A of this\n\nsection, if the zoning change requested permits the use of treatment\n\nfacilities, multiple family facilities, transitional living\n\nfacilities, halfway houses and any housing or facility that may be\n\nused for medical or nonmedical detoxification as these terms are\n\ndefined pursuant to Section 3-403 of Title 43A of the Oklahoma\n\nStatutes, the entity proposing the change in district regulation,\n\nrestriction, or boundary shall mail a written notice within thirty\n\n(30) days of the hearing to all real property owners within one-\n\nquarter (1/4) of a mile where the area to be affected is located and\n\nshall be responsible for all costs incurred in mailing this notice.\n\nFor purposes of this subsection, \"entity\" means any individual,\n\ncorporation, company, firm, partnership, association, trust, state\n\nagency, government instrumentality or agency, institution, county,\n\nincorporated municipality or municipal authority or trust in which\n\nany governmental entity is a beneficiary, venture, or other legal\n\nentity however organized.","path":["OK Code","Title 11"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os11.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"50ad31d275bd544cedbae42dd9a44c7c14346e287c74186375dc25754eea2da8","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-11-11-43-103","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-11-11-43-105"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
