Stat. tit. 11, § 11-45-102","heading":"Members of municipal planning commission -","body":"Compensation.\n\nThe municipal planning commission shall consist of not less than\n\nfive (5) citizens, all of whom shall reside within the municipality.\n\nThe members shall be nominated by the mayor and confirmed by the\n\ngoverning body of the municipality. Each member shall serve for a\n\nterm of three (3) years. When the commission is first appointed,\n\nthe terms of one-third (1/3) of the members shall be for three (3)\n\nyears, one-third (1/3) for two (2) years, and one-third (1/3) for\n\none (1) year. Appointments to fill vacancies shall be for the\n\nunexpired term only.
