Stat. tit. 11, § 11-47-112","heading":"Transfer of zoning powers and duties to planning","body":"commission.\n\nIn order to avoid a multiplicity of boards and commissions and\n\nto avoid a duplication of functions, the council may transfer to the\n\ncity planning commission all of the powers and duties of any zoning\n\ncommission or planning commission now existing and may authorize the\n\ncity planning commission to exercise the powers and to perform the\n\nduties relative to the formulation of zoning regulations which are\n\nnow authorized by law.
