Stat. tit. 11, § 11-5-104","heading":"Certification of results - Order of incorporation -","body":"Notice of election of town officers - Fees and expenses.\n\nThe county election board shall canvass the returns of the\n\nelection. Within five (5) days after the canvass of the returns of\n\nthe election, the secretary of the county election board shall\n\ncertify to the board of commissioners the results of the election.\n\nIf a majority of the votes cast in the election are in favor of the\n\ncity incorporating as a town, the board of commissioners shall,\n\nwithin twenty (20) days after receiving the result of the vote,\n\nissue an order declaring the town's incorporation and naming the\n\ndate for the election of town officers. Notice of the election of\n\ntown officers shall be in the manner provided by law for municipal\n\nelections.
