Stat. tit. 11, § 11-50-107","heading":"Custody and disbursement of pension funds - Refund for","body":"overpayment.\n\nA. All monies provided for the Fund of the System by this\n\narticle, or by appropriation by any municipality, or by contribution\n\nfrom members, shall be paid over to and received by the State Board\n\nfor the use and benefit of the System to be disbursed and handled as\n\nprovided in this article.\n\nB. Should any error in any records of the Oklahoma Police\n\nPension and Retirement System result in any payee receiving more or\n\nless than the payee would have been entitled had the records been\n\ncorrect, the State Board shall correct such error and shall pay any\n\nunderpayments or recover any overpayments. An error does not\n\ninclude a member's failure to submit required documents, including\n\nproof of military service, prior to the effective date of\n\nretirement, which date includes the member's entry into the Oklahoma\n\nPolice Deferred Option Plan. If a member submits documents after\n\nthe effective date of retirement, no adjustment in retirement\n\nbenefits shall be made.\n\nC. Should more than the amount of a participating municipality\n\nor member contributions be paid to the System by a participating\n\nmunicipality through a mistake of fact, the System shall refund the\n\namounts paid to the participating municipality within one year after\n\nthe date on which the mistaken contribution was made.
