Stat. tit. 11, § 11-7-102","heading":"Conduct of election - Results","body":"Registered voters of the municipality shall vote by ballot \"yes\"\n\nor \"no\" on the question of dissolution of the municipality. The\n\nelection shall be conducted in accordance with applicable election\n\nlaws. If a majority of the votes are in favor of dissolution, and\n\nthe votes have been cast by at least two-fifths of the registered\n\nvoters of the municipality (as shown by the preceding general\n\nelection), a statement of the vote signed by the mayor, and attested\n\nby the clerk, shall be filed in the office of the county clerk in\n\nthe county in which the situs of the municipality is located and in\n\nthe office of the Secretary of State.
