Subject to\n\nsuch regulations as the council may prescribe, the city treasurer\n\nshall deposit daily funds received for the city in depositories as\n\nthe council may designate. The city treasurer shall have such other\n\npowers, duties, and functions related to his statutory duties as may\n\nbe prescribed by law or by ordinance. The person who serves as city\n\ntreasurer may be employed by the city to perform duties not related\n\nto his position as city treasurer.
