Stat. tit. 12, § 12-1151","heading":"Grounds for attachment","body":"The plaintiff in a civil action for the recovery of money may,\n\nat or after the commencement thereof, have an attachment against the\n\nproperty of the defendant, and upon the grounds herein stated:\n\n1. When the defendant, or one of several defendants, is a\n\nforeign corporation, or a nonresident of this state, (but no order\n\nof attachment shall be issued on the ground or grounds in this\n\nclause stated for any claim other than a debt or demand arising upon\n\ncontract, judgment or decree, unless the cause of action arose\n\nwholly within the limits of this state, which fact must be\n\nestablished on the trial):\n\n2. When the defendant, or one of several defendants, has\n\nabsconded with intention to defraud his creditors; or,\n\n3. Has left the county of his residence to avoid the service of\n\nsummons; or,\n\n4. So conceals himself that a summons cannot be served upon\n\nhim; or,\n\n5. Is about to remove his property, or a part thereof, out of\n\nthe jurisdiction of the court, with the intent to defraud his\n\ncreditors; or,\n\n6. Is about to convert his property, or a part thereof, into\n\nmoney, for the purpose of placing it beyond the reach of his\n\ncreditors; or,\n\n7. Has property or rights in action, which he conceals; or,\n\n8. Has assigned, removed or disposed of, or is about to dispose\n\nof, his property, or a part thereof, with the intent to defraud,\n\nhinder or delay his creditors; or,\n\n9. Fraudulently contracted the debt, or fraudulently incurred\n\nthe liability or obligations for which the suit is about to be or\n\nhas been brought; or,\n\n10. Where the damages for which the action is brought are for\n\ninjuries arising from the commission of some felony or misdemeanor,\n\nor the seduction of any female; or,\n\n11.
