Stat. tit. 12, § 12-139","heading":"Other actions - Venue when creditor has assigned right","body":"Every other action must be brought in the county in which the\n\ndefendant or some one of the defendants resides or resided at the\n\ntime the claim arose, or may be summoned; except claims against\n\nmakers of notes, claims, or other indebtedness which have been\n\nassigned, sold or transferred by or from the original payee or\n\nobligee, which claims against such original maker of such notes,\n\nclaims or indebtedness can only be brought in the county in which\n\nthe said maker of such note, claim or indebtedness or some one of\n\nthe original makers of such note, claim or indebtedness resides or\n\nin the county in which the claim arose.
