Stat. tit. 12, § 12-1453","heading":"Forms and contents of writ","body":"The writ is either alternative or peremptory. The alternative\n\nwrit must state, concisely, the fact showing the obligation of the\n\ndefendant to perform the act, and his omission to perform it, and\n\ncommand him that immediately upon the receipt of the writ, or at\n\nsome other specified time, he do the act required to be performed or\n\nshow cause before the court whence the writ issued, at a specified\n\ntime and place, why he has not done so; and that he then and there\n\nreturn the writ with his certificate of having done as he is\n\ncommanded.
