Stat. tit. 12, § 12-1482","heading":"Tax title, sufficiency","body":"The title by which the successful claimant succeeds against the\n\noccupying claimant, in all cases of lands sold for taxes, by virtue\n\nof any of the laws of this state, shall be considered an adverse and\n\nbetter title, under the provisions of this article, whether it be\n\nthe title under which the taxes were due, and for which said land\n\nwas sold, or any other title or claim whatever; and the occupying\n\nclaimant holding possession of land sold for taxes, as aforesaid,\n\nhaving the deed of a collector of taxes or county clerk for such\n\nsale for taxes, or a certificate of sale of said land from a\n\ncollector of taxes or a county treasurer, or shall claim under the\n\nperson or persons who hold such deed or certificate, or any other\n\ntitle or claim whatever, shall be considered as having sufficient\n\ntitle to said land to demand the value of improvements under the\n\nprovisions of this article.","path":["OK Code","Title 12"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"a1036db84dc0722e865f1d21113b9d31fe8f8ebe45c6cf4a83f1dac620d89412","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12-12-1481","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12-12-1483"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
