Stat. tit. 12, § 12-1532","heading":"Grounds for action in the nature of quo warranto","body":"Such action may be brought in the Supreme Court or in the\n\ndistrict court, in the following cases:\n\n1st, When any person shall usurp, intrude into, or unlawfully\n\nhold or exercise any public office, or shall claim any franchise\n\nwithin this state or any office in any corporation created by\n\nauthority of this state;\n\n2nd, Whenever any public officer shall have done or suffered any\n\nact which, by the provisions of law, shall work a forfeiture of his\n\noffice;\n\n3rd, When any association or number of persons shall act within\n\nthis state as a corporation without being legally incorporated;\n\n4th, When any corporation does or admits acts which amount to a\n\nsurrender or a forfeiture of its rights and privileges as a\n\ncorporation, or when any corporation abuses its power or\n\nintentionally exercises powers not conferred by law;\n\n5th, Where any corporation claims, by virtue of a congressional\n\ngrant, any of the public lands or Indian lands to which the Indian\n\ntitle or right of occupancy has been extinguished;\n\n6th, For any other cause for which a remedy might have been\n\nheretofore obtained by writ of quo warranto, or information in the\n\nnature of quo warranto.","path":["OK Code","Title 12"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"0a0316eaf60e09f18f836da14557791c8d255a6b42a59b2820e107774ba43602","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12-12-1531","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12-12-1533"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
