Stat. tit. 12, § 12-1580","heading":"Judgment - Damages - Attorney fees","body":"In an action to recover the possession of personal property,\n\njudgment for the plaintiff may be for the possession, or for the\n\nrecovery of possession, or the value thereof in case a delivery\n\ncannot be had, and of damages for the detention. If the property\n\nhas been delivered to the plaintiff, and the defendant claim a\n\nreturn thereof, judgment for the defendant may be for a return of\n\nthe property, or the value thereof in case a return cannot be had,\n\nand damages for taking and withholding the same. The judgment\n\nrendered in favor of the prevailing party in such action may include\n\na reasonable attorney fee to be set by the court, to be taxed and\n\ncollected as costs.\n\nR.L. 1910, § 4807.
