Accepting, offering or promising to accept,\n\na valuable consideration in compromising or attempting to compromise\n\na claim which was disputed as to either validity or amount is not\n\nadmissible to prove liability for the claim, invalidity of the claim\n\nor the amount of the claim.\n\nEvidence of conduct or statements made in compromise\n\nnegotiations is not admissible. This section does not require the\n\nexclusion of discoverable evidence merely because it is revealed in\n\nthe course of compromise negotiations.
