Stat. tit. 12, § 12-2611.4","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Uniform Child Witness Testimony by Alternative\n\nMethods Act:\n\n1. \"Alternative method\" means a method by which a child witness\n\ntestifies which does not include all of the following:\n\na. having the child testify in person in an open forum,\n\nb. having the child testify in the presence and full view\n\nof the finder of fact and presiding officer, and\n\nc. allowing all of the parties to be present, to\n\nparticipate, and to view and be viewed by the child;\n\n2. \"Child witness\" means a child as defined by Section 1-1-105\n\nof Title 10A of the Oklahoma Statutes who has been or will be called\n\nto testify in a proceeding;\n\n3. \"Criminal proceeding\" means a deposition, conditional\n\nexamination ordered pursuant to Section 765 of Title 22 of the\n\nOklahoma Statutes, trial or hearing before a court in a prosecution\n\nof a person charged with violating a criminal law of this state, a\n\njuvenile certified to stand trial as an adult pursuant to Section 2-\n\n2-403 of Title 10A of the Oklahoma Statutes or a youthful offender\n\nprosecuted pursuant to the Youthful Offender Act; and\n\n4. \"Noncriminal proceeding\" means a deposition, trial or\n\nhearing before a court or an administrative agency of this state\n\nhaving judicial or quasi-judicial powers, other than a criminal\n\nproceeding.","path":["OK Code","Title 12"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"5a810d99f5194544757d544d797a5f947b1d7db13694320058ba637c6adc24c2","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12-12-2611.3","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12-12-2611.5"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
