Stat. tit. 12, § 12-2611.8","heading":"Determination of whether to allow child witness to","body":"testify by an alternative method.\n\nIf the judge or presiding officer determines that a standard\n\nunder Section 5 of this act has been met, the judge or presiding\n\nofficer shall determine whether to allow a child witness to testify\n\nby an alternative method and in doing so shall consider:\n\n1. Alternative methods reasonably available;\n\n2. Available means for protecting the interests of or reducing\n\nemotional trauma to the child without resort to an alternative\n\nmethod;\n\n3. The nature of the case;\n\n4. The relative rights of the parties;\n\n5. The importance of the proposed testimony of the child;\n\n6. The nature and degree of emotional trauma that the child may\n\nsuffer if an alternative method is not used; and\n\n7.
