Stat. tit. 12, § 12-2612","heading":"Writing used to refresh memory","body":"If a witness uses a record or object to refresh the witness’s\n\nmemory either while testifying or before testifying, the court shall\n\nallow an adverse party to have the record or object produced at the\n\nhearing, to inspect it, to cross-examine the witness thereon and to\n\nintroduce in evidence those portions which relate to the testimony\n\nof the witness. If it is claimed by an opposing party that the\n\nrecord or object contains matters not related to the subject matter\n\nof the testimony, the court shall examine the record or object in\n\nchambers, excise any portions not so related, and order delivery of\n\nthe remainder to the party entitled thereto. Any portion withheld\n\nover objections shall be preserved and made available to the\n\nappellate court in the event of an appeal.
